According to BMI, you are categorized as “obese class 1.” However, this is something you should bring up to your doctor. It isn’t necessarily about the number on the scale, but body composition. There are body builders out there classed as morbidly obese according to BMI, but that’s because the weight of muscle isn’t factored into BMI and those classifications. If you’re concerned with your health and your weight, you should talk to your family about family history and your doctor.

The BMI is bullshit. Someone can weigh 150 and be skinny as hell and someone else can look overweight. Do not judge your self worth or your body based on the BMI. It can be mentally destructive. As long as you are healthy and like your body- that’s all that should matter.

Check out a BMI calculator and it'll tell you what area you fall under. At 160-180 and me being 5'3 (21 years old) I was considered obese

Couldn’t tell you, I’m 5’5 and weigh 133 lbs, although I lost some weight due to a health issue, still dunno if I’m over or under either lol

Just because you weigh 188 lbs doesn’t mean you’re fat! You could have bigger bones or heavier muscles  but that wouldn’t qualify you as fat! (You get the gist? I know I haven’t seen a picture of you, but 🤷‍♀️🙂)
