What is the best birth control for pp mums?

So my Dr. told me I need to choose a new form of birth control because she says the mini pill might not work well now that my baby is 11 months old. Does anyone know if this is true? 
Also, I would like to know which one you think it's better after having a child? 
Another pill, the shot or the implant?
This is dumb but I don't want the IUD because it scares me lol so any suggestions based on your experiences would be great! Thanks!

I know you said you dont want an IUD but it's the best for me. I love it, my girl is 5 months and I had it inserted 8weeks after pp. haven't had any complications, no bad experience, my period actually IMPROVED. lasts a day or 2, no cramps, and very light. idk I'm glad I got it. it's very scary to think about but it ended up working really well for me

I'm on the depo shot because that is what's best for me. I heard too many bad things about the IUD & implant and I can't trust myself to take the pill everyday at the same time

Why wouldn’t it work just because baby is 11 months lol. I do the pills. If you don’t want another baby soon, you could do the arm implant, but i don’t know what it’s called.
