Has anyone gone to the ER for ovarian cyst symptoms?

Question

I think I may have an ovarian cyst... after doing some research on google. 
I am out of town for the next week and can’t go to my primary care doc/OBGYN. 
If I go to the ER, will they be able to check if I have an ovarian cyst? Or do I have to go to my OBGYN for that? Tell me your experiences.

I went to urgent Care for one and they sent me to the ER because it was Friday and there were certain tests they couldn't do until Monday. It cost a butt-ton of money to go to the ER. I recommend going to urgent care. It is important to have it looked at via ultrasound of you're having pains or bleeding though because it can twist your ovary around and cut off the blood supply, and other complications

I have been hospitalized twice because of ovarian cyst they can do a transvaginal ultrasound to see if you have them or not

I went the first time I ever got one when I was 17. Had no idea what was happening to me and was scared as hell. They did ultrasounds so they could at least tell me what it was, but all they did after that was give me some painkillers and send me home. If I could go back I would rather have gone to a gynecologist for it instead of hitting my poor dad with that huge hospital bill, especially since we were uninsured for a few months at that time.

Only when they burst and I was in so much pain I could barely walk. 
The day to day pains of just having them aren’t severe enough for me to recommend an ER visit. They typically go away on their own.
Call your OB or even your primary care doctor and ask if they’ll do a transvaginal ultrasound to see if you for sure even have cysts. If you’re looking for a diagnosis and aren’t in intense and debilitating pain, no, there’s no reason for an ER trip. Wait until you can schedule an appt with your OB.
