Are you glad that you waited until marriage to have sex?

This is not a question out of judgment. Truly am looking for thoughts from fellow believers.

Waiting is in line with God’s Word. Whatever God’s Word says is best for us. My husband and I waited and it was one of the best dating decisions we made.

My husband and I did have sex before marriage. But after he was in a terrible accident and almost died, we decided we didn’t want to live without the other and wanted to do things right. From that point we waited over a year until after our wedding. So glad we did. It helped us connect on another level.

I was 16 and so desperately to feel loved that I would do anything. My boyfriend, who turned out to be very manipulative and condescending, took full advantage of that. Then, one of my best friends, or I thought he was, took advantage of me. I felt so violated that I felt it didn’t matter

we waited until we were engaged (6 wks before wedding). publically engaged and planning a wedding felt like commitment enough, so we were happy to have sex then - waiting for the wedding felt like a meaningless rule by that stage.
