So I recently had to change my doctor at 36 weeks because she left the hospital. So my newly assigned doctor kind of seems negative when it comes to age and pain tolerance.

I was actually quite positive that I could go through birth without an epidural like my mom did. However, the response I got from her was: well how old was your mom when she had her first baby? She was 18 and how old are you?

It really made me feel like I was stupid and naive to even think I could do it just because I’m 30.

If you had your first at 30, what was your experience ? I’m getting very nervous now..
