How do you guys wear your wedding & engagement rings?

I used to wear my wedding band closest to my heart, until my MIL told me I was wearing them wrong lol. She said you’re supposed to wear them in the order that you received them, so the engagement ring first. What do you guys all think?

Actually no, the way it came about was in the wedding day your engagement ring would be worn closest to your heart indicating purity . The bad would go on in front of the engagement ring. Once the marriage was consummated later that night the bride would then move her band closest to her heart showing her marriage has been consummated . You’re wearing it right .

You had it right the first time, wedding band on first closest to your heart. That’s why you take your engagement ring off or move it to our right hand on your wedding day, so your wedding band can go on unobstructed. 
I personally don’t follow that though, I rarely wear my rings together, but then I don’t have a traditional engagement ring.

My mom told me the same thing but I was like NOPE! lol it just looks weird to me. She wears her rings opposite to mine. Maybe it’s an old school thing. I have seen in other cultures where they do engagement rings, they also tend to wear engagement ring first and wedding band on top. At the end of the day, it’s what’s comfortable to you.

I wear my wedding band first and then the engagement ring on top of it. It just fits better that way and I think it looks better with how my rings are.

Tbh wear it what ever way looks nicer lol. I have a anniversary ring that is a double band and the wedding ring goes in the middle. And I know I’m not wearing the right ring but it looks nice to me so I don’t care😂

It’s personal preference. After loosing weight my rings don’t really fit too well. The band is on first because it falls off if the diamond on my engagement ring isn’t there to catch it

I don’t feel there is a wrong way. Everyone has their own opinion on how they wear them. Some people wear them in the order they are received others wear them wedding ring then engagement ring. Typically at your wedding you take your engagement ring off and at the ceremony you’re only wearing your wedding band and people tend to just put the engagement ring back overtop. For me I am getting married in October and I will wear mine engagement ring and then wedding band. I am mainly choosing that way because my engagement ring is just slightly bigger and when my hands are cold or I wash them it tends to wiggle quite a bit and my wedding band will help hold it in place on top.
