I got Nexplanon inserted in November... so 7 months ago. I had heavy periods every 2 weeks before that for a year before i finally went to the doctor. I was frustrated beyond belief but was still hoping it would fix itself. Blood work was done. Turns out i have an autoimmune disease. Because of this, they wont give me oral birth control to treat me because there's a risk of going sterile. We tried progesterone. It worked for a couple months and then went back to every 2 weeks despite the pills. This is when we finally decided on Nexplanon because it was the only BC choice that had a chance of not making me sterile. I read fantastic things! No period, no chance of forgetting to take a pill, etc. But it's June now. I have had a total of 3 week long breaks in the constant "period" im having. Its not even blood most of the time. Its thick, dark, sticky stuff (congealed old blood). I want to go to the doctor and just have the thing removed.... but that costs money i dont have. Plus i dont want to go back to the way it was before.... im miserable either way... but still.... i dont know what to do anymore... i feel so constantly broken....
