How to leave the man you love?

We have a family that he cheated on with some girl and though i tried forgetting and fixing i just cannot! It wont leave my mind so i dont want to be selfish and be with him and constantly remind him of what he did so im planning to move back with my family in another state but i love him still and i know that in the long run if I see him with someone else it will hurt but I rather him find happiness with someone else because if he cheated on me than he wasnt happy. I also want to be happy and move on without hurting for him.

For me, it was a long process. He cheated, I’d find out, he’d apologize, I’d take him back, he’d be an asshole, I would hold everything he did against him, he’d do it again. It was a cycle. It went on for years. 8 years to be exact. Finally, instead of me finding out on my own, someone messaged me and told me what he was doing. It was like a light switched on and all of a sudden enough was enough. Some women have that realization the first time cheating happens, not many, and it’s always the people who haven’t gone though it who say they would leave the first time. No one knows what they would do until they live that situation. Once I was done I was done and I never looked back. It sounds like you know what you *should* do but you aren’t quite there yet. And that’s okay. You will know when you’ve had enough, and it will be the easiest decision you’ve ever had to make.

Itll be hard but in the long run it will benefit you and your mental health. Once that trust is gone, I dont care who you are but it never FULLY comes back.
