Cancelled iui question...

We had to cancel our iui today as there were 7 follies and our RE would not go ahead, we have been told to refrain from bd for the next two weeks until af arrives (sob!) my question is has anyone still gone ahead with bd'ing in these circumstances?? I understand the risk, but after trying for so long it's hard to believe we need to sit out at the risk of multiples!!?

I would BD anyways, from what I've seen it does increase your chance for multiples but also increases the chance for at least one to result in a pregnancy. I've seen people say for IUI it's best if you have 3-4 follies as it increases your chances to catch a good egg and sperm

I would be trying no matter what. Your odds of concieving is so much higher. Not all will take.

If I were in your shoes I would go ahead and BD anyway. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. If you and your husband are ok with multiples then go for it. I can't imagine all 7 taking but I'm not expert/Dr. Wishing you luck!!

Still no af or BFP... Tested bfn this morning. I have no idea when af should even start after these Meds :( so annoying.

@elizabeth, we have still tried naturally, but the gonal f with no trigger seems to have messed up my cycle (don't know if I have even ovulated!) I have been spotting for the last three days which is even more confusing!! My RE seems to think this is all normal though, so just hoping and praying for a BFP or even just a normal cycle :) have you decided what you will do?
