Did anyone just get their first ultrasound experience destroyed by the ultrasound tech? This is my rainbow baby right after I lost the first one. They had me come in and doing an ultrasound around week 6 and she just made the experience so impersonal I feel like this joyful moment got ripped away from me.

Highlights:

I was shown my baby once, for a brief second.

My husband got to see more than I did.

She kept saying she wasn't sure if there was a heartbeat.

I wouldn't know the "results" of the ultrasound until my doctor got to review them. (I found out much later that the baby was fine and heart beat was documented at 125bpm)

I didn't get an ultrasound photo and was not allowed to use my phone while at the appointment!!!!

who doesnt get an ultrasound photo of their baby? what the h#*#?

I wont be able to see my baby again until 20 weeks. I was going to use the photo to tell my family I was pregnant at 14 weeks as they were all with me when I lost my first.
