I was raised in an abusive household. I sometimes have problems containing my own anger. Now I don’t condone hitting your SO, however given the information you’ve provided (ie cheating), you may have hit your breaking point. If it is true that he has cheated, I don’t think it’s okay for him to be upset with you. Shit happens in a relationship. I’ve been married for 4 years come October, been with my SO for 5 years. We said and done things that we are BOTH not proud of. I think it depends on how bad you want to make things work. If you two aren’t willing to sit down and address the issues within your relationship, then split. It won’t be worth the heartache in the end. But that’s my opinion. No relationship is perfect.
