endometrial biopsy

i went to the obgyn for irregular bleeding in between periods. i had a sonogram and it showed thickening of my endometrial wall. so she had me do a biopsy and she checked for polyps and i have one very close to my uterus and a few others. im really scared because she says i need surgery to have them removed. i go may 10th to get results of biopsy and make my surgery appointment. has anyone else gone through this?. im scared to be put under anesthesia....😢😢😢😢
