Ovulation after Metformin?

How long after starting Metformin do people typically ovulate? I haven't had a period for 3 months and my testosterone was high so my GYN said I have PCOS and prescribed me Metformin and Spironolactone. I've only been on Metformin for 5 days but how soon should I expect to ovulate? Days? Weeks? Months? My doctor's office just said wait and see.
