what are you supposed to wear to weddings?

I’m kinda lost.
Next week is my fiancé’s brothers wedding.. his whole family is going to be there.
I want to look nice and presentable. I haven’t been to a wedding since I was 14. I’ll also be 17 weeks pregnant.
Are you supposed to wear light colors? Long dresses or short dresses? 
I’m sorry if I sound ridiculous I just need a little advice

Don't wear white or similar colours. Also don't wear the same colours as the wedding theme because it's reserved for bridesmaids. Look at the location as a clue to whether you should go formal or semi-formal. 
Generally as long as you try to look nice you'll be good, just don't overdo it because you don't wanna look like you're trying to outshine the bride.
