How soon is too soon for another baby ?

So I have a 9 year old. I just had my second baby 3 weeks ago and we want to have a 3rd and last so we won’t have that huge gap like we did with our first and second . How many of you mommies tried within the year ? I would want to have them very close in Age and be done with it. Also it took us 3 years ttc with our second , im wondering if I will have the same issue again ? As for birth control I don’t want to get on any they messed me up and I don’t get regular periods so maybe it will be hard again ? Any suggestions or advice ? Also I am breastfeeding not sure if that helps lol.

With an estimated due date of December 30th 2018!

I had a baby October of 2016. Exclusively breastfed for 9 months, and at 10 months my period returned. That month we started trying again. In December 2017 I had an early miscarriage and in January 2018 I got pregnant again. I’m 18 weeks and my due date with this baby is one day after my due date was with my first baby. =]

Breastfeeding can suppress ovulation (but not enough to actually be an effective contraceptive). Pregnancy is hard on your body though and uses up a lot of your stored nutrients, giving yourself time to recover and renew these stores is good! So ideally waiting like a year between kiddos has benefits for you. 
If you’re looking for other birth control options that don’t effect ovulation and are quickly reversible, I would suggest talking to your doc about IUDs, specifically the lower hormonal ones like Jaydess and Kyleena (this are the one available in Canada, might be different in the US) or the copper T IUD. Hormonal ones have the effect of lighter periods while copper T will frequent cause heavier periods. But you shouldn’t find that ovulation is affected with these options.

Hi. Funny..I am in the opposite position..I have a 7 year old girl and 5 almost 6 year old boy.  We are TTC our 3rd. They are exactly 21 months apart and best friends! Our girl has nicknamed her brother “Buddy”. We just needed some time to recover from having 2 babies basically during the younger years...lol! 😂 I am thinking that the 3rd pregnancy will be different and I can enjoy every minute knowing it will be my last. I’m in a similar situation. I have two older kids from a previous relationship ages 13 and 10 and I think their age gap is perfect. But my now husband and I tried to conceive for over 4 years and had 3 unexplained losses before finally having our little one just two months ago. We know we want one more so the two of them can grow up together like my oldest two but we have been struggling deciding how long we should wait given our struggle to conceive. Ideally I would have liked to wait about a year or so before trying again because I didn’t want to do the infant stage back to back but we also feel like we don’t want to use birth control either because of our ttc struggle. It’s hard not knowing if we will struggle again and if it will take us a while so we should start right away or if the “you are most fertile after birth” will be true and we could end up pregnant right away and should maybe take some precautions. For now it has kind of been a let’s just see what happens approach with an attempt at using the pull out method lol
