Is a period normal in the first couple weeks of pregnancy?

I’ve recently found out i was pregnant. 6 pee tests and. Blood work confirmed. I would be in between my 2nd and 4th week. I believe i just started my period with cramping and a medium flow. Is that normal for anyone? Should it be a cause for concern. Doctors are not open Sunday. 😫

I had spotting which led to bleeding which lasted 17days and I’m no longer bleeding or spotting and still pregnant my specialist wasn’t worried but it never hurts to ask I know it helped me relax a little

It depends on the type of blood. My mom actually had a period for the first 4 months of her pregnancy with my sister I have no idea how that works

If your blood type is negative it will happen. With my second son I bleed for the first three months of my pregnancy. He was born completely healthy. I had to get shots throughout my pregnancy. I’m about 5 weeks now with my third and recently started spotting Friday.

Depends how much through out the day. I mean if you’re having a full on period I would call the dr and be seen sooner. But if it’s just spotting that can be normal. I actually had 1 to 2 times a day for 3 days a little bit of blood when I would wipe so I figure it was the start of me period but on day 4 my period never came and then my boobs were super sore. I tested and I’m pregnant and I haven’t had any more spotting since then. This is my second so I knew with the sore boobs I needed to test.

Brown spotting can be normal. But not bright red blood.
