Red in poop?

I’m concerned about this. Should I be? She didn’t eat anything red yesterday and seems perfectly fine. She’s 5 days into an antibiotic for an ear infection.

Definitely take your LO to the doctor. It could be a reaction to the antibiotics.

That looks like something in food rather than blood.  Blood I’m poop is either black (old blood) or bright red (fresh) and much redder than that.

It’s definitely from the antibiotic. Something in it reacts to the iron in formula or food. Same thing happened to my daughter. Ped and pharmacist mentioned it and it wasn’t cause for concern.

A lot of antibiotics can change the color of their poop! Totally normal.

You don’t have to take her to the doctor. Our little guy was just on antibiotic for his ear infection and had very red poop most of the days he was on it. Our doctor warned us in advance to not be worried!
