Not necessarily. There have been cases of parents who abused their kids but they weren't abused themselves.

People are generally a product of their environment, and often will parent similarly to how they were raised. If there was abuse growing up, there will likely be abuse still. If the childhood was healthy, there’s a greater chance their children will also experience a healthy childhood.

Yes and no. Generational patterns are a real thing and research shows that those who have been abused are more likely to be abusers as well (yes I know it’s not Always the case, I’m just talking statistics - please don’t comment with “I was abused and don’t abuse my kids”). 
However someone can also start abusing their children for a number of other reasons, while they themselves have never been abused in the past.

The majority of people abused never become Abusers.They are less likely to be abusive as adults and more likely to enter/Not leave abusive relationships. It is a hurtful and discriminatory Myth. 😡

Yes, it’s a cycle, however that isn’t always the case. Not every parent who is abusive was abused and vice versa.
