Would you recommend a birth control arm implant..?

I had an IUD right now, and it’s causing issues for me, so I was thinking about trying an arm implant and wanted to know what people thought about it..?

Nope. I hated mine and was put through hell with it. 
I honestly recommend something like the pill or patch, or maybe the ring that you can take out yourself. Just something to where if there are severe side effects, you can take care of it then, you don’t have to worry about waiting for a doctor.

I had one for nearly two years. I still got periods that felt like they were from the devil himself, and I always used protection just in case. I ended up having to get it took out because whenever my arm would rub up against my clothes or if I lay on it and my arm got pressed even slightly, it would make me throw up. I wouldn’t recommend it at all, since I’ve had it took out I’ve only had 4 periods in a year and a half, and my body still hasn’t gotten used to not having it in anymore. I’m sure it works for some people, but based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

The thing about is that it’s different for everyone... some people love it and it works great, and others not so much. From my experience it kind of killed my sex drive but I was okay with that until after I had it for about 7 months I began having 3-4 week long periods, with like one week in between them, and then I noticed it began effecting my mood and behavior, it made me cry at anything and I have an anxiety disorder and it would make it so bad that I literally didn’t sleep most nights when I never had problems like that before... after that started happening a got it removed

I love mine. I’ve had it about a month now and I know it’s not that long but I haven’t had any huge changes so far. I’ve barely any scar at the insertion site and it doesn’t hurt anymore. It took about 2 weeks to stop being sore when touched but it’s very reliable. My period was a week late as I didn’t get it put in while on my period but then a week after my period was due I had bloody discharge for 2 days I then had a normal period for 4 days and I continued to spot for a week after my period but I don’t mind that since irregular bleeding is the most common side effect of the implant. 
Everyone’s different and the only way to know if it will work for you is to try it. So far I love it and it’s so easy it’s in there for 3 years and is 99% effective and I don’t even have to think about it. If you can deal with irregular bleeding then it’s a good method as you never know what way you’ll react

I know people who’ve had a great experience but I personally didn’t. I spotted the whole time i was on it. I was even given the pill at the same time to try regulate my bleeding but that only worked for around a month before it started again. Eventually my family planning clinic agreed to take it out after a year because it obviously wasn’t going to settle. Like I said though, everybody is different so you could be absolutely fine.
