Curly fricken hair and the demands it makes

Samantha

I’m just a girl in need of answers that I can’t find on google. I’ve tried MULTIPLE products for curly hair. Like.. Miss Jessie’s jelly soft curls, Miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls, Renpures argan oil (shampoo and conditioner), And multiple Fructis products. While the Fructis products didn’t do anything, the others did, they worked okay for a while. Only because I could tolerate this problem. I HATE how they make my scalp feel. Everything is so oily to the touch, and my head is just itchy all the time. I’ve tried giving it a break and after I wash the first time without putting product in my hair goes back to the fizzy mess it used to be. I’m currently using the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus line. I have the curl enhancing smoothie, the curl and shine shampoo, and the curl and style milk. When I shower I don’t use hot water, it’s a medium temperature. I shampoo with the curl and shine, then I go onto washing my body, shaving, etc. then with the water off I flip my hair upside down and I apply the curl and style milk, it says it’s supposed to be like a leave in conditioner. I scrunch my hair with my hands gently (while still with my hair upside down) then i flip it back, dry off my body, get dressed then I take a microfiber towel and scrunch my hair some more because my hair is really thick and it holds a lot of water. Sometimes before scrunching for the second time I’ll apply the curl and style milk because it defines my curls more. The thing is as it starts to dry it makes my head feel gross like it’s super dirty/oily. The Miss Jessie’s did the exact same thing. Am I doing something wrong?!
