So I have been eagerly watching every sign of labor with excitement but now my father and my MIL are both in the hospital for different reasons- my father for an emergency gallbladder surgery and my MIL because she is having heart issues.

I don’t want to have this baby when they can’t be there to meet it right away because I think that would make them both sad. My dad was supposed to be the person to watch my children and then bring them to the hospital to meet the baby and I think he was really looking forward to that.

The one silver lining is neither of them are in the hospital for something contagious so if this baby can just stay put a few more days (or weeks because I am only 37 weeks) it will be such a relief. My midwife had thought I may go this past weekend after my last exam.
