Depends on the family member. Also depends on how my family treats him. My ex was hated by my family, for good reason, but at the time I could only see them being jerks to him. When he went toe to toe with my dad in front of me I was out. Now my SO is loved by my family. My dad actually told him he was the best SIL any father could ask for and we are not married.

I would prefer him to not like them. And the family that I do like that’s been taken from me was taken from me by one of the family members I have to be with now (until I turn 18)
