Hey all. I have chronic constipation some times, and while going to the bathroom I wasn’t sure I had emptied my self. For some reason I had the urge to stick my pointer finger up my rectum to check. It actually felt pretty good so I kept going a ways up. I pulled out my finger after exploring and washed my hands and continued with my day.

However I have noticed that I had sharp nail edge on the finger I used. I’m concerned I cut or scratched myself. I so, could I get an infection? I’ve read infections can cause huge abscesses to form and for hole to be made from your rectum to your vagina through the pelvic floor.

I’m super worried I will become disfigured from just exploring my butt. And I will have poop coming out of my vagina and my boyfriend won’t love me. (OCD worries)

Should I go to the doctor? I have no bleeding, I have mild discomfort but no pain(probably due to my constipation).
