How often do you poop?

My SO thinks it’s weird that I only poop 1-2, maybe 3 times a week. Am I really that weird?

It's unhealthy. You need more fiber and drink more water. You should be going daily at least once per day.

I don’t think your weird! I am a nurse and I was always taught that other people have different baselines meaning some people poop at least once a day or once every 2 days or 3. I think the big issue is it causing you discomfort? Are you frequently bloated? Gassy? If your uncomfortable and feel like you need to be going more (not bc of what people say, “actual” discomfort) then definitely increase water but also you could incorporate a daily probiotic and exercising is great for regulating you as well. I find that very funny that your boyfriend tells you this because I feel like I’ve always heard quite the opposite. Most people think it’s weird if you poop a lot. It is true though that your gi tract is considered more normal if you poop after every meal! I really don’t expect to even hear that much these days though. Most of the time diet our diets are full of junk.

A healthy body should be pooping at least once a day. 
If you have other issues like IBS it’s normal to not go often. 
Try increasing your fiber and water intake and see if that helps.

Everyone’s body is different. If the way you’re going now is how you’ve always went, and there’s been no sudden increase or decrease in motility then I would say it’s fine. It’s just when you notice that difference that you should get seen about. Everyone’s *normal* is different so what exactly IS normal???? 
Also just increase your daily fiber intake if you realize that you’re lacking. Surely won’t hurt :)

I used to be like twice a week as long as I can remember. That was totally normal for me. As soon as I became pregnant it was everyday multiple times a day.

I used to be like that and my doctor said there was nothing wrong with me 🤷🏽‍♀️
Since I had my appendix out I go a lot more regularly unless I’m not at home then I physically can’t 😂
