I am going for a vbac with 3rd baby.

some background: my first was natural at 40w6d, second was a very, very traumatic emergency c (mec in waters and dropping heart rate) at 40w3d. theu couldn't get the epidural in time so I felt all of the surgery until they could finally knock me out. at the end of the day, it was an easy recovery and I know my experience during surgery was totally not normal, but I still would like to avoid it, if I can.

my doc and hospital are so supportive of a vbac. even saying he will try mechanical then medicinal induction rather than automatically going for a section.

I'm a very good candidate for vbac in general because my first was an issue free, unmedicated vaginal birth. and because my body has shown signs labor is imminent. at my last appt 4 days ago I was 75% effaced, 2cm, cervix towards the front, baby in a head down, left side position.

I'm wondering if any Mama's have tried this mechanical, then medicinal approach for a vbac? if so, how'd it go? or just experiences with vbac would be appreciated! I'll also be posting on vbac support board.
