I just did my first round of Clomid starting on CD 5, which was April 19. My doctor wanted me back in on CD 21 for my progesterone test. because I was going to be out of town they wanted me to go in early. so I went in on May 3rd, which was ONLY 3 days after I got my LH surge.

As I am reading up on progesterone readings, I see that it shouldnt be checked until 7-10 days after ovulation. Well, if I did ovulate it was checked not even 3 full days after. My results were 5.3 ng/ml. so they said this round of clomid failed.

How can they say that if they checked my progesterone SO close to my surge?! is there hope this cycle actually didnt fail???
