Would you recommend IVF? Is it a stressful process?

Rebecca

I’m 36 and my partner is 32. We’ve been trying to conceive baby no.1 since September 2016 with no luck. I’ve just finished all the initial tests with the fertility clinic and his sperm is really healthy, I have a really good egg reserve for my age, my womb is healthy apart from one small fibroid which isn’t causing any harm, my Fallopian tubes are totally open, and I’m definitely ovulating every month. I take prenatal vitamins, chart BBT, check CM, use OPK’s from day 10 onwards, use preseed and BD every other day from day 12 through 22. But it’s just not happening and it’s heartbreaking. Anyway, the clinic have offered us IVF if we still haven’t conceived by September. I know living in the UK, I’m really lucky to be offered that chance for free, but I just wondered if anyone can share their experiences of the process with me? I’ve read all the information and there was a lot to take in. I have a really intense job and I wondered how people have handled going to all of the appointments etc. Have you told your employer? Any insight is much appreciated!
