I’m in for it...

Lo

My little man has always been such a happy baby and he still is generally speaking but boy does he throw some tantrums now. He is 8 months and I feel like he shouldn’t be throwing tantrums like he does. It’s frustrating because he is still too young to understand everything I tell him of course. When he throws these tantrums, he will fling himself backward over and over again. One time this resulted in him hitting his head on the wood part of our changing table and countless other times he has almost hit his head on the floor. He does it so often now. If we stop him from doing something he wants to do that he shouldn’t be doing, or if we take something away from him that he’s really interested in. I try to hand him something else to divert his attention but he smacks whatever I am trying to hand him. Anyone else having this issue and have you found anything that helps? I’ve kind of started to learn when he is going to do it so I usually just prepare myself and that works to keep him from slamming his head into things, but sometimes he still will catch me by surprised with it.
