When you hear the name Austin do you immediately think of the city?

I’ve never been to Texas and I’m wondering if people will automatically assume my son is named after Austin TX... 🤔 we really love  the name it’s the only one we agree on

No and I'm from Texas. Austin is a common enough name by itself that I don't think of the city unless the person named Austin also has siblings with city names.

I'm naming my son Austin after the city, because it's the first place hubby and I went on vacation together.  But when I tell people I'm naming him that, they normally don't make the connection to the city until I say the reason why.  So no, I don't think people automatically think of the city 😊
