CBD Oil for Anxiety

I’ve started taking CBD oil a couple weeks ago, and it’s definitely helped my anxiety a little bit so far. I have a maximum strength bottle that has a dosage of one full dropper as needed which equals to 20mg. This guy who works at the store I bought it from said to take 40mg every day. I’ve only been taking around 10-12mg daily. I’ve been reading about dosages and I came across something that said serotonin syndrome (which is deadly) can happen with high doses like 20mg. It was only one website and I’m not sure where the information came from, but I’m a little paranoid to take 20mg after that lol. Especially with summer coming up and plenty of sunny days. I’ve done a lot of research and every website says experiment with the dosage because there’s a happy medium, and too much or too little can have little to no effect on anxiety. So many people say it helps their anxiety, but I’m wondering what dosage they take. I just want a general idea because I’m lost on what the norm is. For anyone who finds it helpful for anxiety, what’s your dosage? I’m also hoping it will help my excruciating period cramps. So I’m also curious about the typical dosage for that, too.
