walking babies ?

When do babies start walking ? I have a 9 month old . He won’t try and walk by his self and every time I help he just drops to the floor , he can balance for 2-4 seconds 
Just would like a little advice on how to help him ..

My 1st started walking at 13mo and my second at 12. Every child is different. 9mo is considered early so I wouldn’t sweat it.

My daughter didn't walk until she was 1 1/2. She's running around with all the other kindergardeners just fine now! 
He'll do it when he's ready, don't worry about rushing it

mine was running at 9 1/2 months.  I started her in a walker when she could sit up.  it threw people off,  but one day she just got up and started walking

Our daughter was walking holding our finger at 8 months and started walking completely unassisted the day she turned 10 months. She’s now 11.5 months and is practically running haha
