What happens if you end up with gestational diabetes? What does it effect?

If you have gestational diabetes, your babymay be at increased risk of: Excessive birth weight. Extra glucose in your bloodstream crosses the placenta, which triggers yourbaby's pancreas to make extra insulin. Thiscan cause your baby to grow too large (macrosomia).
if u fail the 3 hour test, u will need to watch what u eat, possibly take meds and most likely deliver earlier than planned,  via induction

you have to chexk.your blood sugar 4 times a day and eat a low carb diet. starting at 36 weeks I have to go in twice a week to have nonstress tests to check the baby and placenta and stuff. they don't want me to go over my due date but I will try and fight that.
