AF 7 days late and low hcg serum

Hi ladies,

My husband and I have been ttc for about 5 months and I’m currently 7 days late on my period. I called my doctor and did a serum test today... they just called me to say the results were inconclusive. My hcg is 0.5 but said it could be too early to tell and that i could be pregnant, not pregnant, or I could by miscarrying. She recommended that if I havent started my period in a week to come back for a second test.

I went to the gym and when I returned I noticed some very light brown spotting when I wiped, very faint but there. Has anyone experienced this? I’m worried that I’m miscarrying and am generally super stressed about this... could use all the baby dust...
