has anyone had success getting pregnant (without treatment) when not having their period for a year or more? i would love to hear success stories!

Answer

I really think it depends on why you’re not getting your period. If it’s unexplained then it may be something that needs to be addressed before getting pregnant can happen. That being said, I was using nexplanon (the birth control implant) for 3 years, followed by an IUD for 1.5 years. Didn’t get a single period the entire time. I barely even spotted. I got my IUD out on April 4th 2015 and was pregnant May 11 2015. After that kiddo was born I got an IUD again at my 8wk postpartum appointment. Had it in until July 21 2017. Was pregnant August 28 2017. If the lack of period is explained by birth control then it is very possible to get pregnant easily. If it’s due to some unknown, likely health related reason, it may be much harder.
