Induced by water breaking?

This is my second child. With my first I went into labor naturally. This time I've accepted a chance to be induced at 39 weeks. I've had a few false starts and last time I was checked I was already at a 4-5. My doctor predicts that with a very favorable cervix like this that all I may need is my water broken. Has anyone had a similar experience? How did it go?

After my water broke with my first I dilated 5cms in 30 mins and 3 cms in 20 mins with my second.  My doctor broke my water with my second when I was at 7 cms and said she would check on me in 3 hours 😂

I did with my second! Stalled at 4cm, got an epidural, so doctor broke my water about 10pm and I gave birth to her at 3am. It was a great experience for me. The hardest part was getting to 4cm slowly while in pain.

My friend did.  It was her longest labor at 5 hours total but she got the epi (she never had time before)...which she loved because her legs tensed up with previous labors making her feel like she ran a marathon in addition to the other postpartum aches and pains.
I am really hoping I will only need a water break for my induction.

well i had my baby last Thursday i was 39 weeks and scheduled to be induced i went in and they gave me an oral medicine and 8 hours later my water broke naturally

Hi, I’ve not been induced in this way but in my previous labours they’ve really take hold once my waters broke so I’m sure that you’ll fly through it once this happens! Although I’ve not been induced this way I did have a very positive experience with induction with my first. Stay positive you got this mumma 🎉🤱🏼
