What do you do for chest congestion when pregnant?

I'm 7 weeks 4 days pregnant. Yesterday all day I had a scratchy throat and it's gone today. But now I have chest congestion with mucus crap in my chest when I cough. And sneezing. Idk if it's allergies or what. Anyone else deal with this or did anything to help?

Not really until after 14 weeks! After 14 you can take a zyrtec or claritin.

There’s really not a lot you can take but you can take acetaminophen. Which you buy over the counter it’s basically Tylenol. But it is a anti inflammatory which might help a bit. Other wise try aromatherapy smelling mint and eucalyptus. And warm showers. /: maybe some safe warm tea. (Not all herbal teas are safe) good luck momma

I had it as soon as I found out I was pregnant!  My doctor said Claritin was fine. I took it for 2 days then decided to stop. I just use cough drops when I get to coughing too much.
