Boyfriend constantly depressed help 😔💔

What do I do?

I really want to comfort him but I really don't know what to do. We've been together for about 6 months and we met when he was travelling here in New Zealand.

He was supposed to leave in February but he cancelled his flight because of me. I didn't think he would do that because when we met we both knew it was just a fling. I told him he didn't have to do that but he did anyway. He got a job here, but he's depressed at the same time.

He's often upset because he's away from his friends and family in England. I'm his only friend here and I feel bad for him.

I'm studying Medicine so there's no transfer program. Lately he said he's been so down and would stop getting hard in the middle of having sex. He would constantly say sorry although I told him it's fine. He said his depression and anxiety makes his self esteem really low and affects his sex drive.

I told him so many times to just try going back to England for a bit but he wouldn't because when he went on a trip to Christchurch for a week he felt awful without me. I've been trying to make him go see his family but he wouldn't.

I don't know what to do
