My rainbow baby was finally born!!
So I’m almost 3 months late, but here goes. So after 1 miscarriage and D&C; in 2011, and 2 chemical pregnancies in 2012 I was told by my OBGYN that I would never get pregnant naturally and be able to carry full term due to my severe PCOS. My ex and I split up shortly thereafter. Fast forward to 2016. I started dating one of my closest friends and we eventually moved in with each other and started our life together. Head to 2017. My birth control had started affecting my mental health, so as a couple we decided that instead of me changing birth control that I would just come off of it completely since we thought I couldn’t get pregnant anyways. 2 months later I ended up with my BFP. On February 16th after we did some yard work and cleaning I got the urge to pee. After using the bathroom I went into the kitchen to wash my hands and grab a snack and felt this strange pop sensation and then a small gush of fluid. That was 11:45 am. I went outside to inform my now fiancé that I thought it was time. I decided to sit down and wait for the doctor to call me back. After about 10 minutes I felt the urge to pee again and when I stood up it was like someone dumped a pot of water in my pants. Showers, dogs fed, little things packed. I drove myself to the hospital with him in the passenger seat because I had to have something to concentrate on to keep me from freaking out. As soon we we got into the maternity ward my contractions started full blast. Every 2 minutes for 60 seconds. I labored naturally in the bath tub through the worst back labor you could imagine for 7 hours straight. Finally I caved and asked for something for pain but to due my extensive allergies I couldn’t have anything. I was only dilated to a 2 so they wanted to administer pitocin. So I decided to get an epidural because I just couldn’t handle it anymore and I knew the pitocin would intensify the pain I was already having. About 10 hours after my epidural it was time to push. Unfortunately my sweet girl got stuck in my pelvis but luckily they were able to get her out. After an hour and a half of pushing and with no tears at all my precious Madelynn Dawn made her grand appearance on February 17th at 4:43 am weighing 8lbs 5oz and measuring 19” long. When she got stuck she inhaled some fluid and they had to insert a tube down her throat and into her lungs to suction the fluid out. That was the scariest 2 minutes of my life. But other than that our baby girl was perfect. She’s now an 11 week old happy and healthy little spitfire. I couldn’t be more happy and motherhood is truly the most amazing experience I’ve ever gone through. And I can’t wait to see what life holds for us. The rainbow truly does come after the storm❤️❤️

Fresh out of the oven.

My sweet 11 week old munchkin! ❤️❤️
