I would love to be acknowledged but I’m not needing like a full Mother’s Day thing. I just know moms that have lost pregnancies and when they ask, other women say, “Of course you’re a mom!” ... until Mothers Day rolls around then people get grumpy and say “No...you aren’t a mom yet.”  
I feel like a mother. I haven’t parented yet, but I’ve mothered this kid. I think a mother-to-be card would be sweet and plenty.

if you have ever had a baby in your belly or are currently pregnant, yes you are a mom! You're growing a human... you're literally making every single part of a baby. That baby needs you and only you. Of course you're a mother. How sacrificing everything you have for another. That's like the definition of Mother!!

I wouldn't expect anything from extended family or anything, but my husband and I are celebrating Mother's Day and Fathers Day with each other this year. Nothing big, just like a date night with each other, but since it really is our "first" for both of us we still want to do something special.
