My birthing experience
It’s amazing how strong a woman’s body is! I didn’t know my strength until I had my son. It was April 16th 39 weeks pregnant (my scheduled last day of work), 1am I started feeling what I thought was cramps. Hence I’m a FTM. The cramps were 20-30mins apart. I woke up and got dressed for work at around 6:15am, made it on time at 7am. The pain started to scare me because they would come out of nowhere. Few hours into my shift the contractions got closer. I still didn’t want to go to the hospital because I thought it was false labor🙈🙈at 2pm (one hr before my shift ends) my contractions were 5 mins apart. I tld my boyfriend I was in pain he said go to the hospital now & let him know what they say. I did jus that! When I got the L&D;, my doctor checked me & said “you’re 6cm are you crazy? You could’ve had the baby at work” I refuse all drugs (unless it was an emergency). I was in labor and didn’t even know it. I call my boyfriend to let him know baby boy was on his way. I took all that pain wit tears in my eyes with each contraction. At 9:20pm that same night I heard a cry. My son has made his entrance into the world. I cried like a baby while his dad kept rubbing my hair saying “you did it babe. You did it.” 3 wks later & I still can’t believe this little angel is mine💙
