Sudden tailbone pain causes?

I'm 28 + 4 weeks, and started experiencing tailbone pain (tender tailbone) about a day ago. I didn't fall down or hit it off of anything. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what causes it? Also, any ideas on how to relieve the pain would be appreciated. It hurts to sit, roll over in bed, bend and basically do anything lol. I'm also experiencing more cramping in the lower pelvic region but I've had this off and on since implantation. It has gotten more frequent, I've just taken it as baby is growing and ligaments are stretching.

I have it all the time! I'll be in pain randomly or when I'm sitting for a long period of time. It is very painful. I went on my baby moon to Cali a few weeks ago and driving there was the worst because of the pain  😭

Mine started about a week ago. Especially when I sleep on my right side or sit for too long. I have to keep changing positions while sleeping and the only relief I have is when my butt is not touching the bed at all and I'm almost sleeping on my stomach. I still wake up sore down there sometimes 😣 just one of the side effects I'll be grateful is gone after baby!

I've been having really sharp pain in a very small area, and my chiropractor says my sacrum keeps getting out of rotation thanks to all the relaxin pumping to the surrounding muscles. I'm just about to change from once a week to twice, so hopefully that helps! Chiro also helps create enough pelvic space for a smoother and faster labor!

My tail bone was sore for like three days then went away. No idea what was causing it.

I’ve had some tailbone pain the past few weeks. My doc said it’s normal, baby just might be lower and causing some pressure down there.
