So, here goes my birth story

Amanda
So, here goes my birth story...
I was due to go into the hospital on Wednesday night to begin the induction process.
At 8:00 we arrived to the hospital and the Cervidil was inserted. “It could cause contractions and VERY Rarely, labor” they say.
Well, all night I have horrible, close together contractions with lots of deceleration in baby’s heart. They take the Cervidil out after 2 hours but the contractions didn’t slow down.
Apparently, I find out later that they were close to taking me in for C-Section then (boy should they have!!)
Thursday morning they start the Pitocin. Up it all throughout the day, contractions still getting strong. 1 & 1/2 cm😕
Doctor comes in, I ask about C-Section because I have high blood pressure and suffer from Occipital Neuralgia. No luck😬
3:00 comes, Doctor entertains the the fact of taking a break, reinserting the Cervidil that night.
I start hysterically crying, he comes back twenty minutes later, breaks my water and tells me we’re going to have a baby.
Everything went so fast. 2-8 cm in twenty minutes, HORRIBLE contractions, barely able to get the epidural before they suddenly rush me to the OR because his heart was dropping quickly!!
Scariest moment of my life!!!
Logan Joseph is here! 6.03oz. 20 inches.
He’s in the NICU because his sugar is low and isn’t a huge fan of eating.
Today he is going under the lights. Hopefully that’ll give him the energy he needs to get through a whole bottle!!
