Nuvaring

So I’ve been on the nuvaring for 10 days then I started taking mucinex for the past 3 days and my boyfriend came in me today and I forgot I was even taking medicine until after we finished. This is also my first time with any type of BC so could anyone tell me if they know if mucinex would interfere with the ring?
