Too soon to fly?

Question

Got our BFP last week! Apps are predicting I am 5 wks. I have an apt tomorrow to confirm. I am worried because my dad is getting married in August and I may be around 17 wks and I have a flight to go back home and return in 5 days the flight is about 2 and a half hours. Is that too soon to fly?

unless you have something to cause you to be high risk and your doctor specifically says you cannot fly, it should be a great time to travel.

I always heard you can’t fly if you have high risk pregnancy, or are in your 3rd trimester! Since you are gonna be 17 weeks and it’s not a long flight at all, I would say yes your fine, but obviously ask your doctor first! Xoxoxo

I flew a total of about 3 hours my first day of vacation. And about 4.5 hours on the way home. I was 17 weeks when we started vacation, 18 weeks heading home. As long as you aren't high risk or in 3rd Tri then you will be fine :)

As long as you aren’t high risk, you can fly until 28 weeks 🙂

I did a 9 hour flight at 8 weeks. was advised by midwife to wear flight socks stay hydrated and walk around as much as possible. Everything was fine had my first scan all looking good.

I fly a bunch for work- flew all through 1st trimester and have flown now in my 2nd trimester. Doctor told me 2nd trimester is the best time to fly!
