How to tell my husband I want a baby

I've mentioned that my nephews give me "baby fever" or that I can't wait to have a family of our own, but I just can't seem to come right out and have a serious conversation and tell my husband that I really want to try for a baby. I'm afraid that he won't be ready and then I will feel embarrassed. How do I tell him I'm ready. Sunday, the 28th, made a year since we've been married. I will also be done with college in 6 months. We both have good paying full time jobs, and in 6 months I'll have an even better paying job. So what are we waiting for?
