My hubby and I are young (21 & 22 respectively) and we want to start our family early so by the time he retires (he’s looking to commission and do at least 20) we’d have most of our kids in college and out of the house. I thought it’s a better idea to do all of our traveling and what not after he retires so we’ll have more life experience (and money) so we don’t make stupid little mistakes when vacationing. My parents are excited yet nervous about the whole ordeal since I’m the oldest and they don’t have any grand babies yet but his parents are like no way Jose, it’s not happening. How do y’all deal with those comments?

Note: his oldest sibling just had their second baby and his parents are super stoked about it, and his other older sibling just got married and they’re already asking when they’re having a baby but when it comes to us we get stopped in our tracks dead on. It’s very discouraging :(.
