Anyone under 35 getting Panorama or NIPT?

Our midwife offered us prenatal screening...either NIPT or NT ultrasound screening. I actually feel more drawn to the blood test because I’d prefer to limit my ultrasounds...especially longer ones like for NT screening. She said if insurance won’t cover it they cap it at $200, and we can opt to find out gender as well if we want. Anybody feel like sharing what kind of prenatal testing you chose and why?

I chose to do the NIPT with panorama. My doctor said there’s less false positive results then the NT test. I was kind of bummed because that means no more ultrasounds until 20 weeks. I did the blood draw today, it wasn’t bad at all, just drink lots of water after as they take quite a bit of blood. We’re so excited to find out the gender in a week!

Yea, I’m 29 and I’ll be doing Panorama this week. Might as well find out early, but my OB also scheduled me for an NT for 12-13 weeks which I’m not sure why do both. I don’t even know if my insurance covers any of them. I tried asking her but she seemed to glance over my question and I still haven’t received an answer.

I had it done with my son at 32, and will have it again now at 35

I'm doing it for sure because I'm 39, even though young people ought to do it, since 80% of babies born with chromosomal defects are born to women under 30! Sounds like it's worth it for you, just to be informed and noninvasive.
