So yesterday (Mother’s day) I saw this post on Facebook and it really hit home hard. My SO and I have been ttc for a year with no luck. My pets (5 year old basset, 1 year old kitten, and 1 month old red heeler mix) are my babies. Just because they are not humans does not make me a furmommy, I take care of them just like I would a child. My SO thinks of me as a mommy to our fur babies, he went to the gas station while I was across the street at my sisters helping her with her kids. He got us donuts, he looked at me and said just because you don’t have kids does not make you a mom, you are a mom to our fur babies and a good one at that so here have a donut and happy Mother’s Day! He knows that having a baby is the one thing I want most in this world but that I am so lucky to have my fur babies and him in my life.
