(WARNING) this is probably going to sound so dumb.

When pregnant I planned on breast feeding my baby but once he came out I struggled for him to latch on so I bottle fed him. After he was about a week old he hadn’t had any bowel movements so I googled how to get him to poo I tried everything from cycling his legs to putting warm water on his bottom. Until I read about babies who are breastfed poop as the feed so I tried to breast feed him he had a couple of suckles and he pooped. I told my mum the day after and she ended up having a massive rant at me about how I’m not allowed to do that, and potentially it could be harmful.

This is my first child, and I only did it the once but was just wondering if it could’ve been harmful if I had carried on trying to breastfeed him.
