So today I was talking to my coworker in private. We were away from everyone else and on break. I went to her to confide in her because we have become good friends. Well, I go back to work and later on after that coworker had left my other coworker comes up to me and say’s “so you’ve been depressed since you were little huh?”. Literally what I was talking to my other coworker about and how they want me to try depression medication. She literally came over and fucking sneakily listened to our conversation!! I was just like “yeah”. And she’s like “why?”. I just looked at her and said because my mom physically, mentally, and emotionally abused me my entire life.

She then looks at me and says you don’t know what abuse is till you’ve experienced what Jim has. Jim is her SO. She then begins to tell me what he went through. Yeah, I get it, his was really bad, but that doesn’t take away from my abuse! To me, emotional and mental abuse or worse and more damaging than physical. Mine has made me self damaging. It just pusses me off that she listens to us like that and then tries to tell me that my abuse is insignificant because it “wasn’t as bad”. Like seriously who does she think she is saying that to someone?!
